AI for a Better Quality of Life

Is AI good or evil? It depends on how you use it. AI is an incredibly powerful tool when it comes to analyzing data and presenting novel conclusions.

One common and growing theme among Americans and folks in other nations, is the desire to leave home and travel abroad – either temporarily or to relocate – to seek a better and more affordable life.

We are using a proprietary and ever-evolving AI engine to identify and share locations around the globe where people might experience a higher quality of life, either for vacations, relocation, or medium-term respite. Our project focuses on locations outside of the United States.

The “Big 4”

While some aspects of our AI engine are ever-evolving and improving, and take time to reach their full potential, we have also integrated pre-determined variables which are commonly agreed upon when it comes to measuring quality of life.

One example of how we’ve accomplished this is what we call “The Big 4”. These are variables which already have a high liklihood of improving quality of life for almost everyone, and these are already integrated into our AI model, for many locations that our users are interested in. They include:

  1. Cost of living in comparison to the USA
  2. Life expectancy in comparison to global average
  3. Air quality
  4. Availability of quality healthcare

Curated Wisdom From People Already Traveling to Improve Their Quality of Life

Another way our AI engine provides value is to integrate the stories and experiences of real travelers who are already traveling the world in search of better quality of life. Please allow us to explain why this is so important, and irreplacable even by AI…

When considering leaving the USA temporarily or permanantly in search of a better quality of life, one problem our founder Bryan encountered was that it is very hard to research various countries to discover what they are like on a practical level, especially in terms of quality of life parameters.

This is due to such a wide diversity in among things like: walkability, infrastructure, culture, vibe, food quality, sense of serenity, goverment characteristics, etc.

At the end of the day, a lot of this boils down to: you just have to go and experience it for yourself. But of course, that is expensive and time consuming.

Which is exactly why we’ve hand-picked people who have already traveled for the purpose of enhancing their quality of life, and integrated their stories into our AI analysis. Sometimes the human touch is still the best way.

Most of our writers have their own websites and social media channels. Because writing for our platform increases their discoverability, we can achieve the “flywheel effect,” based on the excellent business book by Jim Collins. Both users and content creators benefit from the platform, so it becomes a self-reinforcing cycle drawing more users and curated content creators at the same time, i.e., a “flywheel” effect.  We expect it to grow naturally and organically, which has the amazing byproduct of also growing the knowledge base of our AI engine.

Resources for your Journey

Our AI engine will provide you with links and resources as you go along, based on your unique chat session & location preferences. We will also highlight any POI’s (points of interest, such as businesses, restaurants, stores, hotels, parks, or hikes) that our Travel Writers enjoyed. Again: the human touch, real recommendations from real people.

But there’s more. Our AI engine will also show you which of our writers are already creating content around the locations and quality of life variables most important to you, based on your chat session. So you can go follow their social media, browse their website, or in some cases even hire them for coaching.

Conclusion

Our ever-evolving AI Engine seeks to better understand and present data on which locations travelers and expats are experiencing the greatest boost in their daily quality of life.

We use a proprietary combination of data and metrics from both publicly and privately sources.

Leave to Live was not a company started to “jump on the AI hype.” Rather, it was a real need that founder Bryan had been trying to solve for many years, and AI offers just the right solution. We think you will come to agree!

DISLCAIMER: Of course, all AI-generated content can have glitches and mistakes, so always double check the information yourself before making any travel decisions. The same way that you would double check what you read on ChatGPT before making important decisions.
